DeMaio: Never Trumper

DeMaio tweeted that Trump is a "disgusting pig." He also called Trump "rude, crude & unattractive" during an interview on Fox5 San Diego. Then, in a June 2018 article in the Los Angeles Blade titled "Carl DeMaio: California's Gay GOP Kingmaker," DeMaio was quoted: "My job isn't to support Donald Trump."
